Double Hoods are $325 and we'll be making them as soon as we can, now that we have begun making ,.  I want to get the tailors making all the Double Hoods in Black, Brown, Lynx and Natural White at the same time.  Hopefully before year end 2024.  We won't have Drab Fabric to work with until mid-2025.

Because All-Around Jackets in Lynx Pattern and Natural White can now be , we are also doing Pre-Orders for the Double Hoods in those Fabrics, so the orders for both can be placed simultaneously.  The AAJs and Double Hoods will be made from the same /Dye Lot ... so they will match.  But for logistical reasons, the Double Hoods will follow the AAJs in the actual production cycle.

We have ONE Double Hood available now, Classic Brown.

The Double Hood can be secured to any of several of our Jackets by means of on the collar of the Jacket.  But it is only the All-Around Jacket that is made by us with the buttons to affix the Double Hood.  The Double Hood is a bit much for the other pieces, but some people have attached it, and it's not a big deal to have a local tailor sew on some standard four-hole buttons, post-production.

We have reworked some aspects of the Double Hood. The most important feature, two layers of our FullWeight Fabric, has not changed. But we have added two more adjustments to the chin strap, the cinch cords are double-anchored and the cord clips are held more securely and closer to the Hood. The new chin strap can snug the Hood to three different head sizes. 

The Double Hood was originally designed to attach to the ... and if you want a Hood to go with your AAJ, we recommend ordering at the same time. The Double Hood can also be attached to anything with a couple of big safety pins.  You can add buttons after testing.

The WeatherWool Double Hood is seriously warm! Made with two layers of , the Double Hood resists extreme snow, sleet, rain, water and wind.

The All-Around Jacket has three buttons under the fold of the collar. The Double Hood has corresponding buttonholes.

Left down on the shoulders, the Double Hood adds a lot of extra protection to the shoulders and top of the back. Advisor tells me this is a routine use for him.

The Hood is large and the flaps fasten in the front, just under the chin. There are draw cords at the sides that can pull the Hood "down and in", closer to the head.

Anything short of really insane weather doesn't penetrate it.
